IBSWLG Council Boss, Akande Lauds Security Agencies for Resilience and dedication

The Chairman of the IBSWLG Council, Honourable Kehinde Adeyemi Akande, has praised security agencies for their tireless efforts in maintaining law and order in various communities in Ibadan South West Local Government.
In monthly security council meeting, Hon. Akande acknowledged the dedication of security personnel, saying, "Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. We appreciate the sacrifices you make to ensure our safety."

The meeting was attended by top officials, including Hon. Adebanjo Raphael Sunday, Secretary of the local government; Mrs Salau A.O., Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA); Mrs Omolara Ladejo, Assistant Head of Local Government Administration (AG.HLGA); and Amusat L.T., Director of Administration and General Services (DAGS).

Also in attendance were divisional police officers (DPOs) from Apata, Mapo, and Iyaganku, as well as representatives from various security agencies, including CSC Oshin Taiwo, Divisional Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) IBSW; SC Sakirat Adekojo, Divisional Officer of the NSCDC IBW; Emmanuel Johnson, Officer-in-Charge of the Department of State Services (DSS) IBSW; DSI Aluko, Immigration Officer; and Ibrahim Gafar Taiwo, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Officer.
Hon. Akande's praise for security agencies and stakeholders highlights the crucial role collaboration plays in ensuring public safety. This commendation is particularly timely, given the current economic climate that may have driven some individuals to engage in illicit activities. However, thanks to the robust security measures in place at the local government level, security personnel are always ready to respond.

Effective collaboration among security agencies and stakeholders is critical in addressing these challenges. By working together, they can better prevent and respond to security threats, ultimately ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens.
He concluded that with the collective efforts of these agencies, the IBSWLG Council aims to ensure a safer and more secure environment for residents.
