NEED FOR GOVERNMENT TO EMPLOY MORE PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS TO FORESTALL COLLAPSE OF PRIMARY EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE STATE.



In moving this motion, I observed that the shortage of teachers in public primary schools across the state is now of great concern. I also emphasized that the roles of teachers in the primary school setting is second to none and that teachers are vital resources to every society.
Therefore, I urged the executive arm of government through Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) to as a matter of urgency take necessary steps to employ required and duly qualified teachers to primary schools across the state to fill the existing vacancies and safeguard the educational policy of the present administration.

On a final note, the motion was adopted and the resolution was to be addressed to the executive arm and relevant authorities for immediate action.
