Ibadan South West Council Boss, Akande Receives WHO Representative, Prof Georgina, Advocates for Intensive Health Care



Hon. Kehinde Akande Akande, the chairman of Ibadan South West Local Government Area, recently received Prof. Georgina, a representative of the World Health Organization (WHO), at the council secretariat.
During the meeting, Hon. Akande emphasized the need for intensive health care services in the community, highlighting the importance of accessible and quality health care in reducing morbidity and mortality rates.

Prof. Georgina commended Hon. Akande's efforts in promoting health care in the community and reiterated the WHO's commitment to supporting initiatives that improve health outcomes globally.

Hon. Akande commended the efforts of World Health Organisation to promote polio vaccination in the local government. The council boss noted that he has been working closely with health officials to ensure that all eligible children in the area receive the polio vaccine.

According to Hon. Akande, "Polio vaccination is a critical component of our efforts to protect the health and well-being of our children. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all eligible children in our local government receive the vaccine."

The meeting with the WHO representative and the intensified polio vaccination efforts demonstrate Hon. Akande's commitment to improving the health and well-being of his constituents.
