The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo State yesterday held simultaneous senatorial district meetings. The meeting, it was gathered was geared towards finding a common ground for all stakeholders, leaders and members to put the largest political party in a good stead and on the path of winning ways ahead of the 2027 elections.
It could be recalled that the State leadership of the Party had two weeks ago released a notice of the meeting to prepare the minds of Party members across the State.
In Oyo South, the State secretary of the Party, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke while addressing the gathering reassured Party faithful of the benefits of being in government. Notable political figures stormed the meeting, engaging in strategic discussions to strengthen the Party’s presence in Oyo South Senatorial District.
While addressing the crowd-packed Saki town hall, the former State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Oyo and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha reaffirmed the loyalty of the members of the Party in the senatorial district to the only leader of the Party in the State, Engr Seyi Makinde.

The simultaneous senatorial district meetings of the People’s Democratic Party is the first since the party won elections in 2023. The party considered this as an achievement because it allowed old and fresh wounds be allowed to heal.
