LG Poll: Oyo Lawmakers Fowokanmi, Adebisi Support Councillorship Candidates With One Million Naira


Ahead of the Saturday April 27 local government election in the state, members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Ibadan South West state constituency one and two, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi and Hon. Oluwafemi Fowokanmi have supported the councillorship candidates of the party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with cash of one million naira.
The lawmakers also urged the people in the local government to turn out in large numbers to vote for all the candidates presented by the PDP.

Speaking on the level of preparation of his party towards the election, Hon. Fowokanmi, said that the Peoples Democratic Party is in high spirit towards winning the election.

Better life, as he is fondly called disclosed that the party will ride on the monumental achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde to consolidate on the extension of dividend of democracy at the grassroots level.

Hon. Fowokanmi maintained that PDP administration has changed the face of governance at the local government level, therefore, making other political parties willing to participate in the election.

The lawmaker said that as part of their support to the candidates ahead of the election, they have disbursed a sum of one million naira to all the councilors contesting the election from ward one to 12 in the council area for mobilization and strategic planning.

Fowokanmi expressed his readiness to canvas and work together with candidates to ensure that PDP emerges victorious in this election, saying that this will make the party to consolidate its hold on the state.
