Oyo State government has offered palliative transportation of corps members from the Permanent orientation camp to their respective local government Areas of posting.



The State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde announced the closing parade of the three weeks orientation course for 2023 Batch B Stream I held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin.

Governor Makinde whose gesture threw the corps members into jubilation noted that he was briefed by the NYSC officials that the corps members had already contributed to mobilizing commercial buses that would convey them to their various Local governments of posting adding that the palliative would ease the burden of transportation linked to the current economics realities.

Represented by the Deputy Governor, Mr. Bayo Lawal, assured the corps members that their transport fares would be reimbursed by their respective Local government authorities.

He urged the corps members to live as change agents in their host communities, saying the country needed their solution-driven ideas and innovations to scale through the current economic challenge rocking the nation.

Earlier in a welcome address, The State Coordinator of NYSC, Mr. Abel Oche tasked corps employers to be committed to the welfare and development of corps members posted to their establishment to maximize their potential.

Over two thousand corps members who attended the twenty-day orientation course received letters of posting to their respective places of primary assignment for the one-year mandatory national service.
