IBSWLG Chairman, Akande Condoles with Governor Makinde Over Brother's Demise


Honourable Kehinde Akande, Chairman of the Ibadan South West Local Government (IBSWLG), has extended his heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, following the demise of his brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.
Engineer Sunday Makinde, who was 65 years old, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025. Honourable Akande, in a statement, Honourable Kehinde Akande expressed his deepest sympathies to Governor Makinde and his family, praying that they be granted the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

"We are deeply saddened by the news of Engineer Sunday Makinde's passing," Honourable Akande said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Makinde and his family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the knowledge that Engineer Makinde's legacy will live on."

The IBSWLG Chairman prayed for a sound mind for the family to bear the great loss and for the soul of the departed to rest in peace.

Governor Makinde has been a beacon of hope for the people of Oyo State, and his leadership has been instrumental in driving development and growth in the state. The loss of his brother is a state loss and Honourable Akande's condolences are a demonstration of the support and solidarity that Governor Makinde enjoys from his colleagues and the people of Oyo State.

As the people of Oyo State mourn the loss of Engineer Sunday Makinde, they also celebrate his life and legacy, and pray for Governor Makinde and his family to find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
