Alhaji Lateef Oyedoyin Oyelade was a businessman of immense repute and a cultural and social colossus in Ibadan and Nigeria. He has known as enigmatic and ebullient man for over years . He was a man of very handsome physique that would readily qualify him as a ladies man. He was extremely gentle, humble and generous beyond measure. He was always a delight at the posh social circles he moved with.
He was always ready to help whenever the need arose.During those terrible days of fuel crises in the 90s and early 2000s, his petrol station was our Mecca and he never disappointed us.
He was very loyal to his friends especially late Alhaji Arisekola, General Raji Rasaki, Alhaji Lamidi Ajadi and so many others. A quintessential dresser and extremely neat gentleman and religious icon, he repeatedly refused to be dragged into the Nigerian Political space and retained his Statesmanship status till his death.
Ibadanland will surely miss this wonderful, very pleasant and exciting soul. Rest in perfect peace, very great son of Ibadanland.
