OYO APC'S SHAMEFUL ATTEMPT TO EXPLOIT TRAGEDY FOR POLITICAL GAINS AND GOVERNOR MAKINDE'S STEADFAST LEADERSHIP AMID CRISIS

Image
18th, January, 2024 In the wake of the tragic explosions in Bodija, Ibadan, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state strongly condemns the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their disgraceful attempt to exploit this calamity for political gain. The statement released by Oyo APC, especially by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, reflects a callous endeavor to play politics with the lives and suffering of the affected people. It is crucial to emphasize that moments of crisis demand unity and a collective effort to address immediate concerns. It is the APC, with its track record of failed promises and empty governance, that should be held accountable for the economic mismanagement and lack of tangible progress in Oyo State. Addressing the APC's claim that Governor Makinde blamed the worsening economic situation on the federal government's removal of fuel subsidy, we clarify that the governor merely pointed out the hasty implementation and untimely nature of the decision. Governor Makinde is not deflecting blame but expressing concern for citizens who bear the brunt of poorly executed policies. The PDP highlights the APC's
